This is the second compilation from the Danish label Parvati and I must say I was surprised to see that this album has not yet been reviewed here, as it, together with Apoxina's Psychovader, is definitely the compilation I have been playing the most during the last few months. I'm also surprised that there isn't a single Danish artist on this CD,because there is so much great music in this style being made in Denmark. Anyway, it is in the same kickin' twisted full on style as Parvati's "First Step" and has a great balance of darkness and fun. The first two tracks are melodic old school goa tunes, nothing too heavy really, but they definitely capture the vibe that many people are missing in today's music. Especially the track by Neutral Control ends with a very nice oriental melody, it's a pity though that the tune is so short. Then we get a remix from Droidsect's well known track "Poltergeist". It sounds like they've stripped the lead melody from the original tune and went jamming around with the rest of the sounds; the result is an extensive dark tune full of low, yet highpass filtered melodies. I can't say that it's as memorable as theoriginal, but I've heard the original so often that it does make for a refreshing change. "Digital Blood" by Psycho Micro is a highly acidic and bubbly tune, partly in triplets, with percussion patterns that remind me of Kluster. When played at the right time of the night I'm sure it will make you chase the devil to outer space with a huge grin on your face. ;) Next up is a collaboration from Digital Talk with Micky from Psycho Micro, hence the name Psycho Talk. It's probably the darkest tune on the album, filled with typical Digital Talk noises. Again, pretty much all the melodies are to be found in the lower frequency ranges. This time they are accompanied by tons of bubbly LFO noises and some Skazi-like effect samples that sound like someone is smashing a door rhythmically to the music. :) Trashlords and Irie are probably best known from their tunes on the Örebro Freak Factory compilation and here they've gotten together to make a nice tune that is in the same style as the forementioned Psycho Talk one, although it is somewhat more linear. But once it has subtly built up to its climax it really manages to make you bounce from wall to wall and does highly interesting stuff to your mind. Dark Nebula is always really a case of 'hit or miss' for me, and this time his tune surely hits all the right spots in my mind. It's a tune with a great sense of humour soundwise; I can really imagine it being played by some alien bigband, where one alien is plucking the strings, another one is singing and shouting in some incomprehensible language and a third one is having shitloads of fun by banging the stupid LinnDrum-like percussion sounds Dark Nebula always tends to use- :) Also, I should not forget to mention the wasps who give the microphone a visit a few times in the track, and the weirdo behind the mixer who manipulates the sounds with some really spacy reverbs. Totally cool track :) Then we get a really groovy wiggly-jiggly tune by four criminals of which I think two are members of Lotus Omega. This is again a very funny tune, really easy to visualise the different sounds and see them as entities trying to communicate with their unique voices, and in the end it turns out to be one large chaotic riot of strange creatures shouting and falling over each other because they simply can't manage to understand each others languages. ;) Digital Talk ends the compilation with a totally insane tune that sounds even more wet and bubbly than "Disease". It has some atmospheric sounds that sound howly and IMO even pretty "downlifting", but if you're lucky you might escape from your nightmare by the end of the track with its climax full of crazy whining sounds. If you're unlucky though, the tune might convince you that you'll be stuck in your trip forever, and as I don't think either Digital Talk or Parvati take any responsibility for what their music does to your brain I would suggest you to handle this track, and all others on this compilation, with uttermost care. ;) 9.5/10 Phaeton

So this is finally the follow on move from the "first step" album that launched this label into the world of twisted psychedelic trance. And what a second step it is, executed probably even with more finesse than the first. Once again from the moment this album was pushed into the cd player to the moment it stopped my attention was irresolutely grabbed; the cigarettes burned uselessly in my hand as all I could mentally do was to keep up with the psychedelic platforms that were compounded in ever more complex layers as each track progressed. Parvati, the wife of Shiva, certainly knows how to get the best out of people like Droidsect, Dark Nebula, and Psycho Talk to name but three of the artists featured on this album. FB
Get ready for true full on underground psychedelic sounds. Psychedelically Yours is the follower to Parvati's first compilation First Step and a massive trip to the planet of uncompromising full on psychedelic trance. Not a selection of similar tunes to make life easy and us bored, but the really true side of psychedelic electronic madness. A multi-textured, twisting compilation with driving basslines, very strong kicks, tons of trippy dark synth-rushes and some dangerous woofer-blowing hard energy. Do you remind when psytrance had mystery? Remember psychedelic trance before it went cheesy? Put this cd inside any player and everything comes back. Brand new unreleased tracks by Droidsect, Digital Talk, Dark Nebula, Neutral Control, Trashlords and more.
If you like your LSD in liquid form, your chai black and treacley, and your tunes full on and banging as if it was a vibrant 1996 night in Disco Valley, look no further. Psychedelically Yours is the second album from the Parvati stable, a bunch who love the full moon party ethic with unswerving loyalty and passion. Neutral Control's Try It! is stomping with a blistering high-end, and Droidsect's Poltergeist, remixed by Digital Talk, is warped and gritty: with its hefty bass and manic high-ends, it doesn't let up. Digital Blood from Psycho Micro is, well, ultra-psycho like a huge robot warming up for a 4-4 assault on a plastic Tokyo. It has that Hallucinogen-esque 4-3 feel and more balls than the world cup. Psycho Talk's Disease is a peak-time frenzy of stabs, high end melodies and bass that takes no prisoners, and has the grinding feet firmly in full effect. Heads are well and truly in the blender with Dark Nebula's Order of Creation, and the blistering, delightful Crime Association from erm, Crime Association is another assault on the senses, with unflinching drums, manic squeaks and a full-tilt groove. With Digital Talk stepping in with Angehell to round things off, any brain cells you still have intact will be either destroyed or elevated to a very high level of vibration with its poingy-everywhere escalating acidlines and schizophrenic pads. If you're bummed at the absolute lack of full-on mayhem these days, you need look no further - formulaic as it may be,, this is a chunky album of adamantly satisfying trance nonsense.

"Psychedelically Yours" is the second compilation to come from up and coming Danish label Parvati Records. It's dark, mysterious, brooding and full of tracks to frighten your Nan with, tracks that creep up on you, grab you by the balls and disturb the psyche just a little. It´s a truly global compilation with offerings from India, France, Israel, Sweden, Australia and Brazil by artists like Neutral Control, Droidsect, Psycho Micro, Crime Association and Digital Talk. You want to dance with the devil and his friends then try tracks like "Digital Blood", "Disease", "Frozen Floor" and "Angelhell", they'll soon show you how hot things can get in hell! Life"s not always as clean and pleasant as some would have you believe, but you shouldn't hide away or bury your head in the sand my friends have a listen to "Psychedelically Yours", a gentle introduction into a darker world. Then prepare to cavort and wiggle around with the rest of us who reside in psychedelic purgatory, sometimes it can hurt but you know what they say - "No Pain No Gain"! FF
Psychedelically Yours... Finally, the sequel to the compilation "First Step" has arrived from Parvati Records. Parvati Records is (for those of you who doesn't know) a relatively new, small record label from Denmark who has choosen to sign big artists like MIC, Digital Talk & Dark Nebula. I can honestly say that Parvati is one of my favourite labels at the moment. All tracks on the cd is great, I have however choosen to write a little bit more about the tracks I liked the most. MIC - Maha Kumbha... MIC (MIC stands for "Made In Chapora") is one of my favourites, they haven´t released many tracks but everything they have released is well produced and good. They got their own style, the tracks are well built with many weird and nice sounds. They also use some speed changes and breaks - very atmospheric. Maha Kumbha is pretty light and fluffy, not as twisted as the earlier tracks but that doesn't make it bad! Droidsect - Poltergeist Remix By Digital Talk... Droidsect - Poltergeist was on "First Step" and it's also on this record, remixed by Digital Talk (former Droidsect). I find this version to be much better than the original one or is it a brand new track? Psycho Micro - Digital Blood... Weird? Many tracks which is freaked out and weird, usually lacks the balance between rhythm and the sounds. Just look at the finnish artists, they usually have nice patterns of sounds but no good rhythm. This track contains both a good rhythm and nice sounds. Great track! Psycho Talk - Disease... The sound of this track is more towards the full on sound. Not as melodic as ordinary full on. The sound and loops are one of a kind! It's on my top 10 list at the moment. Trashlords + Irie - Frozen Floor... Trashlords represents Sweden on this compilation. The track is the darkest one of them all with a few sounds and loops in the background. Digital Talk - Angehell... Ahhhhh, the best track of this cd. There arent any word to describe this track. Pure love! The summary of this is that Parvati has done it once again. Are you looking for weird and spaced out psy? Then this cd is something for you
It will be really nice to see what Parvati will come up with in the future.
BEST TUNE OF THE WEEK: DIGITAL TALK - ANGEHELL.
Big thanks to Giuseppe for sending the promo. I was a huge fan of the "First Step" compilation and have been looking forward to Parvati's next step which we have with this album. If like me you loved the firstalbum, this compilation will be a dream come true. Again for me the tunes seem to be that little bit special and different from the normal giving it a cutting edge feel. It is a blend of dark, light and different intensities leading to different dimensions. One minute floating, next minute sinking and wait long enough you'll even be flying! Here is a breakdown of the album: MIC with "Maha Kumbha". I love the start of this tune, it rolls and rolls, twists and turns with many eerie noises and stabs of acid attacks. Hard and Angry justhow I like it. Next is Neutrol Control with "Try It!" and I suggest you do. Very punchy and another roller coaster. At 1 minute and 6 seconds its time to hold on to your valuables as the ride really begins. This will take you to an area of insanity as the intensity increases. Later on the Sub becomes bigger (or so it sounded like to me) and you're not on your own if you find a psychedelic heaven at the end. Next is a Digital Talk remix of Droidsect's "Poltergeist". I don't know about Poltergeists, I had visions of far worse listening to this. I found this track to be fairly dark although still excitin and messy to in parts. Some big nasty ass screeches. I love the lastthird of this track though. It really took a hold on me whenapproaching the 6 minute mark and you just have to go nuts. There really is no other way. We have a banger next. Its Psycho Micro with "Digital Blood". I have to say that I do have a strange sense of humorand this track made me cry with laughter from beginning to end. The start of the tune really is shocking but it develops and develops.Theres one bit when a sharp acid noise bounces back and forth to makeyou stomp so hard the soles of my feet felt like they were on fire. I stopped the CD on my first listen and replayed this track twice, I had to as I couldn't understand it on my first listen. Amazing. Psycho Talk's Disease is track5 which to begin with felt a bit G.M.S. styley. Some nicely controlled sounds and the track lifts off and screams its way home. I love the eerie noises hidden amongst the mayhem. Its messy, but in this case it works very well. Trashlords + Irie give us Frozen Floor which is a relentless beast that you feel may never give up. I found this one to be a lovely deep psy track thatI could journey with. Dark Nebula give us "Order Of Creation". I did find this quite Dark to be honest but not too dark, if you know what I mean. The thing is Frozen Floor seems to be forever evolving, It grows and grows with an experimental feel which adds to the excitement. I found myself tripping out to this track... The next one is killer - Crime Association's "Crime Association". This could give you light bulb burns so be careful. This one is in my set and I can't wait to play it. Its a fantastic production and a really pushing tune so go mental, I did. The last track is by Digital Talk and its called "Angehell". They may have saved the best until last as this one is a killer to. This tune gave me a sensory overload and is (at the moment) my favorite on the album....probably... Thank you to all @ Parvati for this fantastic release and I hope you keep em coming! RECOMMENDED
